Igor Fisch

Igor is a passionate entrepreneur dedicated to scientific excellence. He obtained his PhD under Professor Robin Offord at the University of Geneva and pursued his postdoctoral studies in the laboratory of the nobel-price winning Prof. Sir Gregory Winter in Cambridge, UK. In 2001 he co-founded Selexis SA as a university spin-off together with Nicolas Mermod, to change the way biologic drugs were developed. Selexis is nowadays the global leader in cell line development. Igor Fisch is the current President of Fongit, an innovation incubator in Romandie, Switzerland, where he supports startups in the life sciences industry. In 2022, he took on a new challenge by joining forces once again with Nicolas Mermod to found NewBiologix SA dedicated to the development of technologies for cell and gene therapy.
